Divine In(ter)vention

Written date: 01 SEP 2018

[Verse 1]

When he speaks,
I can hear his words.
I know what he wants,
and for Him I’ll serve.
Why are we here and where do we go?

[Verse 2]

No need to ask,
I can read his mind.
A trail of death,
in His name, o’ Divine.
A foolish answer to a foolish question!

[Chorus]

The world is wrong, but not from His doing.
It’s all our own fault, the lives that we’re ruining.
A crooked path of mindless suffering.
Can never be the way up to heaven.

[Verse 3]

I’ve read the book,
so I’m better than you.
I know the truth,
you should believe me, too.
We’re all doomed and I’m your savior.

[Chorus]

The world is wrong, but not from His doing.
It’s all our own fault, the lives that we’re ruining.
A crooked path of mindless suffering.
Can never be the way up to heaven.

[Solo]

[Bridge]

Oh Lord divine
Lord o’ mine
I see your sign
Oh Lord o’ mine

[Chorus]

The world is wrong, but not from His doing.
It’s all our own fault, the lives that we’re ruining.
A crooked path of mindless suffering.
Can never be the way up to heaven.

[Alternate chorus]

The books are right, but wrong rendition.
Powerful leaders with evil intentions.
Senseless acts for wrongful conclusions.
Should never be why we have religion.

So fuck religion!
